Hi,a friend of mine wants a new kitchen,he got a price from b&q £5000.he asked me because iam in the trade,so i asked howdens,and they said £5500.i have lost work before because howdens cant compete on prices.i just cant believe that howdens ( sells to trade only).can not beat prices.my brother who is a plumber makes a fortune out of supply.anyone any ideas?.cheers mak.

We already have howdens burford range (there when we moved in) which is ok but i like the idea of their real wood doors (tewkesbury probably). From what i've read, the discount for trade users is partly down to your spend. Showing the full range etc. They are not the same company but they share suppliers (i think).

Every time we called howdens someone would come out but would claim the problems were our fault, that they are not covered by the warranty. In the last month or so, i've been looking at at diy kitchen, happened to visit howdens, where i've seen a solid kitchen i quick like. Also howdens will offer to match them on price but i told them to do one.
